Code of Conduct to be followed aby anyone attending our classes:
- Treat others with respect
- Train hard and to the best of your abilities
- Listen to the instructors and perform the actions they instruct
- Ask if you don’t know
- Don’t be afraid to make a mistake. Try
- Help other students in their learning
- Progression does not make you better than others, but more skilled. Recognise ego
- Sparring is not competition. You spar to practice techniques and principles and to help your opponent with theirs.
- The sword and the dagger are not bludgeoning weapons. Treat ‘blunts’ as if they were sharp
- Code of Conduct applies to the equipment as well as to people
- Leave your politics at the door
- Practice at home or wherever you can
- If you have a concern or problem, talk to an instructor
- Have fun. This is a martial art and contact sport and we are together to study seriously, but we are also together to enjoy ourselves.
